    Mavic 3 Classic: First impressions

Hey I'm looking for 360 hosting options so I'm interested in Pannellum. I'm curious, where do you actually upload the image? I tried using Imgur, but with the default output jpg from M3 the file size is too large for Imgur.

    M3 v Air2S picture quality

Not to mention improved wind resistance (10.7m/s versus 12 m/s). If you are a professional and need to do jobs according to the time/date set by the client, or a permit, that improves the chance you can fly in rougher weather. Overall though I would say the biggest difference is adjustable...

Good point on the sensor size, but the reference to controlled depth of field is not correct. DOF is only a factor when focusing on subjects close to the camera or with a longer lens, which is hardly the case with a drone. If you use a depth of field calculator, you will see that with a f2.8...

Mini 3 Pro in the EU

Helicopter zone is 1.5km radius. It's possible to get permission to fly within this area for a commercial shoot but you have to make a proper application and pay a fee. The overall light pink is the airport control zone I believe

Mini 3 Pro in the EU

There is another map tool supplied by one of the German goverment ministries (though note they don't guarantee it's accurate), but which it is easier to see the critical infrastructure sites: https://maptool-dpul-prod.dfs.de/ This is what it looks like when filtered for Nurnberg, I turned off...

Mini 4 Rumor's are started to surface on twitter

This is clearly photoshop, it's a mini 2 body with a Mavic 3 camera module.

Mini 3 Pro in the EU

generally speaking you are not allowed to fly over the areas in front of commercial establishments during open hours, even in A1 class, as may constituted an assembly of people. https://www.easa.europa.eu/en/faq/116553 If you want to fly in an area like this you would need to find a take off...

Mini 3 Pro in the EU

Germany has both EASA and national regs. Max flight height is 120m, not 300. The consideration that is separate to EASA rules is privacy, however the rules seem to say that overflights of residential property is forbidden, not adjacent flights. Similar to general photography, there is freedom...

Mini 3 Pro in the EU

The droniq App is more useful in identifying critical infrastructure where the 1:1 does not apply than Map 2 fly in my experience (1:1 applies only for federal transport routes, i.e. roads, rail, rivers etc as far as I am aware). But Map 2 fly you can also toggle the overlay to remove the...

    Golden Ticket [Edited by Admin]

I picked up something that I was pretty happy with, plus used the DJI credit. Positive experience. What did you expect, a free drone?

    Mavic 3 No improovments

Yeah for sure. but for drone pilots in the EU, moving the Mavic 3 into the A1 category will be a big deal, as it allows it to be used in urban areas without special permission (still with many conditions), versus not being able to use the drone within 150 metres of people after 2023

    Mavic 3 No improovments

Yes but the reality is that it will tie up focus for the team. Reducing the noise /decibel count (if this is actualised) would be a universal benefit.

    Mavic 3 No improovments

DJI have announced a forthcoming firmware upgrade option for the Mavic 3 in connection with the C1 drone certification (relevant to the European Union legislative framework). This will be a voluntary upgrade so not sure if it will have many benefits for non EU flyers. Details should include...

Mavic 3 primary camera has lens distortion

If they refurb it, do a lens calibration and send it out to a DJI Care replacement customer it's probably pretty close to cost neutral

Mavic 3 primary camera has lens distortion

Interesting info. It will be interesting to see if the upcoming Mavic 3 classic has sharper images than the current Mavic 3. I was looking to buy a mavic 3 but on the fence until the classic is out. I had a similar experience with the Mini 3 pro, it has issues with corner sharpness.
