I do see that someone puts strobe light on their drone. They do report that they can see it up to 4km in the dark. It still in LOS, but....

@Planter You assume that all lives in USA and are under FAA regulation. This is not the case. I do not say that its legal here, but all country are not equal. The fog may also come after you get up in the air, and it takes time to get the drone down..

I do see that most people does not know that you have to push the SD card in to get it out. Use the USB-C USB-Micro adapter to push it inn, then it goes more out and gets easy to remove.

There may be a workaround. Attach a cheap light wight smartphone to the drone you like to track. On this phone install Litchi Magic Leash.. On the phone controlling Mavic Air (the tracker), use Litchi normal and then tell it to track the other phone. Not sure how it will handle the 3D It may...

Has anyone had time to test out the new DJI Go 4 software 4.3.0? I do see it does support the new Mavic 2, and it tells that Hyperlaps has been added. It not written that this is only for some drone, so I do hope it works.

I do not see Litchi Magic Leash info here. You can install this app on another phone. Then you can make your drone follow this phone. A great tracking tool.

Here in Norway the NFZ is 5 Km not 5 miles, but I am able to fly in those zone, just get a warning when I take of. It may be a block zone with 1 km radius (looks red on the map) where my drone will not fly at all. Not tested.

If you store battery with 100% charge, they will go down to 50% after some weeks (self discharge). So why bother use time to run the Mavic until battery is at 50%? Or I am wrong?

If you are in 2.4Gz, try 5.8GHz If you are outside USA, try change to FCC. it will increase the range a lot.

I do not see the need to discuss what is illegal or not in this thread. If you buy a car, you can easily brake many laws. Speeding Driving on red ++ ++ ++ I may need a mod just to hoover longer, not any illegal with that.

I did try to land on a car roof and could not take of again, due to compass calibration error. Ladning on a build like this is a very high risk game. If there are some metal around, he would have lost his drone, no able to retrieve it. And what if the drone tried to return to home. Scary video.

For those of you that need to re-calibrate every time. Are you in a city? Are you close to cars, other large metall object? Have you tried it area with no metall, no bag with metall, no watch area? I get re-calibrate some times, (one out of ten times). I do not use a watch.
