I can say that even at 6km, range is no issue for MA on stock antennas. Pretty sure the stock range is close to the Magic Pros, only limitation that far out is the battery.

Your crazy for for doing that kind of range test with just water in front of you. Last time I attempted a 5km+ stock test winds started blowing against the MA on the way back, and had to do an emergency 0% landing about 500 meters out. I have a large field 1km in front of me so I know exactly...

2.4...doubt 5.8 could go that far. Ill give it a shot next time just to compare.

Waited a LONG time for winds to die down in my area, and finally got the prefect conditions. MA performed awesome once again, no degradation in signal even this far out. I even had a 5mph headwind on the way back and landed with ~5% so I think 6km is still doable on an all stock MA :D @Long Ranger

Yea I could only fly it on one day, rest of the days were like 20+ MPH winds.

FYI had no issues with the drone, security personal had no idea what they were looking at when it was folded and its little "Glasses case." Only one time was I questioned boarding the ship and I was just asked "how many cameras do you have in your bag" lol. The Air is definitely the best...

Almost every other cruise line has a check in policy for drones...ie you hand them over to security, and can only take it when going off ship, which is total reasonable. Either way I'm taking my Air, since this is the reason I bought it in the first place. Highly doubt they will be able to find...

Yea this is why I would never fly drones with Andriod phones. They are no where near as reliable as Apple, and this is clearly an unreliable GPS lock on the phone, coupled with some poor android app programing the caused the homepoint to change.

hmm thats too bad...I was hoping it would be the same as their mavic pro charger where it reuses the power brick that comes with it instead of needing to pay extra for another power supply. Looks like this does not have the nice readout display either...
