I am sorry to tell you that you will probably won´t be able to use your drone in San Blas. Guna Yala natives are becoming overzealous about drones. (I think it´s because they want to be the only one filming from the skies so they can profit selling the videos. Also there have been some...
I don’t think you’ll have any trouble with such a small drone. Just do not fly around Cinta Costera, av. Balboa and nea the Presidential house in casco viejo.
You can fly in parque Omar but do not bother people and carry your trusted $20 separate from the rest of your money so they do not ask...
Hi Marco. I have it registered, but I live here.
It is way unpractical to spend 3 hours of your 3 day vacation registering your drone.
My advice is to avoid flying in public parks and in places like Conta Costera or the Canal.
You may get away with flying in the Kiwanis Park if you do not...
Seems like it. Do not worry. Looks like you are only staying for a day. Just be careful flying around the canal area. You should not be flying there. If you do it, make it quick and land in your ship where they cannot follow.
Registration is more for local users who are going to be flying more...
Hello everyone!
I am back from my California trip and I can say without any doubt that it was my best drone experience ever.
I was able to take-off everywhere. I have amazing shots of the city and many landmarks. Everyone was cool with it and no one even bothered me about it.
I even had the...
Just my two cents here. I know everyone gets a little nervous with forced updates but I also trust that DJI will do anithyng to bokst their sales and profit. So I do not think they will start killing their products like this. If so, sales will plummet and they will end up selling candy on the...
Thank you all for your replies!
I will be trying this flight and obviously sharing it with you guys.
I will try pier 45 and fire up Airmap and DJI Go4 to see if it lets me take off.
Also if I see a cop, I will ask just to be safe.
If by any chance it is not possible, I will take videos...
In every post about drone laws in SF they talk about how all the airports and city´s own regulation restrict the drone flying.
I am planning to go to up to Sonoma and the down to Carmel. Can I fly comfortably below 400 feet? anywhere?
AIRMAP Maps show a lot of red zones.
Hello guys,
I have not been able to find information about this specific subject. I already know SF is very restricted about drones and that you cannot fly over national parks, but is it possible to photograph Alcatraz and the Golden Gate using my proposed path? Maybe I´ll get some nice shots...
You are welcome. That form is the one you fill at the Aviation Agency. They place a small sticker on your drone with your reg number.
Have a great trip.
