Mavic Mini Revived my Camera Bag

This setup rocks. I’m using a bit smaller bag since almost the beginning of my Mini adventure. It’s the most compact version of MM’s carrying aid, fits all except vr goggles and constantly puts airport security in awe as they find a drone that literally fits in a pocket. Having a sunhood all the...

    Litchi app

With the newest version of Litchi, you can program short press of the RTH as a C1 button. In options, map the FPV C1 function as reset gimbal and it should work as a charm. Alternatively you can reset the tilt by tapping on the tilt scale on your screen, though it’s really hard to precisely tap it.

Mavic Mini with Litchi beta ....and VR goggles with head and flight tracking, ?and no lag !

By default the head tilt translates to the tilt of the gimbal. After takeoff you can enable immersive headtracking, where the drone’s yaw will be controlled by the direction you are facing with the goggles. Pretty neat stuff.

Mavic Mini with Litchi beta ....and VR goggles with head and flight tracking, ?and no lag !

If you want to give non-pilots a taste of fpv with this setup, put the vr mode on, lower gimbal speed to 1, turn on immersion head tracking and give them the goggles. Now pilot the aircraft by vlos and let them choose the direction and tilt. I’ve spent two weeks during holidays taking people on...

    Propeller protector guard

I just love to use PGYtech’s prop guards - they come in once piece that covers the props even tighter than the original DJI ones. They are slightly above 60 grams, cutting flight time to about 16 minutes, but for close-quarters flying and working with actors it’s absolutely necessary. The mini...

Litchi for Mavic Mini : FCC mode and NFZs

FCC hack ramps up your transmitting power from 25 mW to 63 mW. That’s a considerable difference, that will strenghten the stability of your connection and even double your distance. Bear in mind that EU laws permit Tx of up to 25 mW, so the FCC hack is voilating the EU law. Then again, I don’t...

Which around 150 euros smartphone compatible with DJI Fly app

They are really good phones - lacking a bit of performance when compared to iPhones, but with enough kick to run DJI Fly or Litchi without problems. And you cannot go wrong with that price tag.

    Color enhancement for Mavic Mini?

That makes sense. Looks like you know your way around coloring. It would be most welcome if you could demonstrate your example on curves or scopes.

    Color enhancement for Mavic Mini?

I like quality posts like that. Indeed, reducing contrast in Litchi won’t increase your DR, but your coloring options are much wider than if you would start with stock MM image. The way MM’s firmware applies contrast and saturation differs from what can be achieved in Resolve for example, and...

Which around 150 euros smartphone compatible with DJI Fly app

I’m flying on Xiaomi Redmi Lite 8. It was about $150 new, has a 6” screen and with a frosted glass it makes much better drone screen than my everyday iPhone 7.

    Color enhancement for Mavic Mini?

I can confirm that Litchi unlocks the video controls and it's possible to achieve a somewhat flat profile that gives that extra headroom to tweak the colors in post. See for yourself. The one on the left is from Litchi with Contrast -3, Saturation -2 and Sharpness -1. The other one is the...

    Color enhancement for Mavic Mini?

I sincerely recommend DaVinci Resolve for color enhancements. It’s used by Hollywood professionals and it’s totally free.

    Color enhancement for Mavic Mini?

Litchi allows to adjust contrast, sharpness and saturation - options that are otherwise unavailable on the mini.

    MM with Litchi

Not at the moment, but that would be a much desired functionality.

    MM with Litchi

Indeed. The weather is not yet there to try it out, but I can see the difference those three values make on the preview. I’ll post an update once I can take off.
