I’m so sick of these PROHIBITED signs everywhere I go in Los Angeles

Take off from public right away, don't fly over peeps. And you're legal if airspace is clear.

Mavic Pro Folded Limestone Thrust Fault and Waterfalls

This footage was taken at Provo canyon in Utah. There is a major fold in the limestone caused by a thrust fault. This thrust fault is associated by numerous little caves and disappearing waterfalls. I was trying to collect some footage and imagery for my corp website highlighting hydrogeologic...

I have the Mavic Pro with the firmware being V01.04.0400 can someone please tell me the restritions that come along with it

Live in fear instigated by a corporation in China. Excellent philosophy. The FAA controls the TFZ airspace, not China. There is a reason why some "XYZ" LE agencies cannot use DJI drones.

The FAA rule is 400 feet AGL, or above ground level; therefore, in mountainous terrain for example, you could fly 4000 feet above your take off point and still be legal because you are still flying less than 400 feet above ground level, say flying up a slope or up the bottom of a steep canyon...

    Geofencing available?

Perhaps for hobbyists; however, on the other hand, FAA Certified UAS Pilots are trained to manage the airspace just like any manned pilot out there. Therefore, DJI needs to remove GeoFence from drones piloted by Part 107 Pilots. We already go through an FAA approval process. I sent a letter...

Current Part 107 Wait times April 2019

It could vary with time of year that you submit because your application goes in with all other FAA licensing and certifications. I took my test at a local university hangar at our local airport where they have a flight school and is the local FAA testing center. When students are graduating...

I know, lets all live in fear and regulate everything we know nothing about. Read the guys response and learn.

Part 107 Practice Tests - Am I ready?

Amen. The FAA at some point needs to add in their training for remote pilot certification Part 107 for the remote pilot in command to listen for aircraft. They haven't figured this out because you cannot "listen" for aircraft when you're inside of a manned plane yourself.

Part 107 Practice Tests - Am I ready?

because it affects traffic patterns in and out of an airport if you're operating near an uncontrolled airport. you better understand how planes are leaving and coming into that airport. You never know how many times this information may come in handy.
