I have not tried calibrating the controller. Will give that a try. The same controller works great with my Mavic 2 Zoom.

I have tried the Mini 4 with DJI Fly and get consistent lagging, CPU overload, and lock up. It still works with Go4 but not Fly.

My Mini4 gets CPU Overload with the Fly app, and now has started the same with GO4. Has always worked well with GO4 in the past.

You may be on to something by not upgrading to the latest IOS. I am on IOS 14 something, and the mini4 is worthless with the DJI FLY app. Still works well with Go 4.
