I would respectfully disagree and say that police need to follow the law and not their discretion. All they had to do is ask him to land it and then send him on his way. Unless he was a jerk to them but still they can just tell him to land it.
I recently got a used Air 1 for $410 US. I can't see spending twice that for an Air 2. I get that it's better but unless I'm a professional, I can't see the need for it. With the mini being lighter and slower also the lower resolution camera would make it inferior to the Air in almost all...
I'd just say...until there is a problem. I thought the same thing as you until a prop flew of my JJRC X5 and it then came crashing down onto the ground. Drones can't fly with 3 props (or less) so losing one means a much more expensive repair than replacing a prop or 2.
My experience was...
I agree with you. I'd say maybe a few flights and then replace at best. If people don't believe me, check out my video where I explain what happens when you don't replace them.

It could if you are shooting in manual mode and you set it before this flight at a step or two down. In auto you are probably right, though I do think the ND filters make the color a bit different.
I never think if doing photos, I always do video.
Those apps as well as Airmap will tell you if it's safe to fly and if there are restrictions it will let you know generally.
Another rule of thumb is no flying in National Parks and check if your state allows State or regional parks. In VA it's no on state but ok on Regional parks. You also...
