Thank you Sar. Me thinks that is all lawyer speak as if one can keep in visual contact with the drone then the 4 sub-parts are easily, at least where I' flying, followed.
I'd also think that if 107.31were strictly followed there would be very few pilots.
I just went out for a short flight. I wanted to see how far out I could actually 'see' the Mini. Not a cloud in the sky, bright sunshine. at approx. 75 feet up I could still see the drone out to 1200 feet away. Will be interesting doing the same in cloudy conditions and when I receive my strobe...
Thank you, yes I'm understanding that. Which in turn make the MM a 500 yards drone. For me anyway. I'm waiting on strobe lights. Hopefully that will increase my range.
I guess I interpret the VLOS differently. Yes I'm very new, (2 weeks), into my drone but I thought the rule meant you had to have an unobstructed view of WHERE the drone is even if you can't see it. But you can't be in say the front yard with the drone in the back and the house in-between...
Thank you all for the kind replies. Yes I'll be picking your brains!
Currently looking for the lightest and brightest LEDs for the little guy as I'm an old guy I do find the MM hard to see and losing sight of it. Before I ask for recommendations I'll comb the archives for suggestions.
Hello all, as the title says new to all this. I picked up a mini on a whim the other day and really enjoy flying it so far. Hope to learn a bunch from the community.
