So all DJI drone's have sealed bearings then do they?

I use motor covers anyway, but thought that oil may well attract unwanted dust.

So I'm wondering if you could and should oil the motors on a mavic mini? I'm not sure of the construction of the MM motors, but I'd like to think that DJI use sealed bearings on their drones all round... Does anybody know what type of motors are on the MM?

You say if you move from whatever is upsetting the drone, it stops requesting the compass to be calibrated, correct? Then listen to what it's trying to tell you, and don't fly in highly magnetic places. You may find it's not something you can see, because it may be something in the ground etc

Sounds like you didn't have GPS lock to me?

Sounds like the landing came from those two things then - motor fault/failure, and if the compass is off, then anything can happen - it may have thought it was at a higher altitude than it really was hence the harder landing.

I have this case, and it holds my props nice and snug without any extras. Hope you find a solution you're happy with??

I find my mm charges it's battery in about 90 mins using a charger that puts out 2.4v

Thanks very much for your tip, but it's ok, they are a floating fit. They're not tight.

Another tip is to check that your prop screws are tight before each flight. Nearly lost mine when a prop loosened and came off completely. DJI says to check them every 30 hrs of flight time, but I believe that to be way off. Don't forget that they make money from a "lost & replace" scenario...

Sorry to hear that you had such an experience. But I'm glad you got it back! I agree with your comments regarding the weather OMM, I too live in Wales and the flight app has been saying "not good to fly" the last couple of days, and there's no way I'd be taking my mavic mini up when I see those...

I have read somewhere that removing the battery and submerging the drone in alcohol (not the drinking kind unfortunately) will remove deposits on the circuit board etc, then allow it to completely dry out for a few days, install a new battery = the possibility of a resurrection ?
