I hold the Mavic in my right hand and use my right elbow for the right stick. That way the controller is always firmly in my left hand. I still get good clearance away from my head this way.
What you could also do is fly in sports mode, then switch back to normal for obstacle avoidance when a RTH is triggered, hoping that one signal gets through before a total disconnect happens.
Ah ok, so the shaking I see is the gimbal doing its thing. Just seems from my stationary vantage point that the Mavic is pretty calm, but the Camera is going wild. Everything is mounted securely. Thanks
Sorry, I don't understand. How is the video feed being stabilized when the camera is visibly shaking? Every little motion on my point and shoot camera is easily seen on it's display when OIS is turned off.
It seems like the Mavic will only use a set amount of thrust for for full right stick. Doesn't make sense you have to switch into sports mode, and that it doesn't just increase rpms when it's moving backwards due to wind. Why does DJI do this?
