Depending on the drone type, check the controller position. Don't stand next to a fence or be wearing an Apple Watch. I think the controller also knows its own orientation on the mini and maybe others?

There are kits for about $200 ? that are complete camera, gimbal, ctrl board and cables. There are videos on how to do it. Sensors are separate devices and might tie into the ctrl board-can't remember. To have someone else do it, yeah, 300-500. Some places will only replace what's needed, others...

Found the reason from reading other posts on this forum. We are near, but not in a NFZ. I know we are in the departure/arrival path about 3.5 miles out from a small airport. Maps show us outside the zone. So we moved about 1.5 miles further away and no red led blinking. Solved. Not in the manual...
