Hi all, here's my best of 2017 drone shots. Kind greetings and safe flight in 2018.

I keep everything, raw material and finished films. For sorting I use the outdated Picasa, but recently also Photoshop Elements Organiser. You can tag your shots in order to find scenes better than just storing in folders and subfolders on your hard drive. I do the same for pictures.

I bought one at Amazon. 10 cm, 90 degrees usb cable by system-s, works fine :-)

I've read that it's not wise to exhaust the batteries too much, so I set low battery warning to 40 % knowing that I have enough power left, but I land with approximately 35%. So I hope that's a good way to prolong the battery's lifespan. I also have 4 batteries for good flight time all in all.

Today I had the same issue with two batteries. Both were charged about one week ago and discharged to approximately 60%. I dared to fly, no problems. So, I also think it's a kind of warning that you start the fly with a non-full battery. The error may be caused by the self discharge...

Great thing, I am curious to hear more about this project. I work in a nature conservation administration here in Germany so it's very interesting for me. Which plant species are you able to map with the mavic? Trees and shrubs of course, but also weeds? Looking forward to hear more about this...
