Not so sadly while you are right the story doesn't end.
1) fast charge supports up to 12v
2) even with fast charge not high enough thus implement a boost converter.
The only caveat is that if your chatget only supports 9v fast charge this will take maybe up to 2hr to charge instead of 1hr
Everything is superior to pull n pluck. The foam i picked was a very high density polyurethane foam used for sound deadening display cases.
That kaizen foam would be pretty good to use the template and stack up. Pretty easy to use.
