That's marketing BS from DJI. They can't change the algorithm of HEVC - if they did it wouldn't work with any editing software because it would not be recognized.

You are incorrect. There is no AA filter on the 3 to "soften the image". DJI hasn't used AA filters on their drones for several generations now. I have seen this persistent moire in many videos from the A3s as well as artifacts towards the edges. DJI hobbled this sensor by giving it lower...

Just watched that. I have to laugh. He says no banding in Air3 shot, when it obviously has more banding than the Air3. In the first set of images, he claims Air3 has more detailed image - it is obviously over sharpened, but not more detailed. Not a very good comparison.

If the bound account is still logged into the controller/app, the seller can easily unbind the drone before sending it to you. I recently purchased a refurb and it was bound, and it was easy to unbind it and then log out of the account in order to bind it to mine.

I've seen too many videos from the 3S showing moire and ugly artifacts. Bigger sensor hobbled by lower bitrate and aliasing filter removed. I'm sticking with the Air 3.

This. If the CCP bill passes, you won't be able to buy new drones from DJI. Best bet at the moment is to buy one now. The bill only restricts new drones.
