Did you connect 2 boosters or only one to the receive only antenna? As you have rf meter, can you pls confirm that only one antenna - transmitter? Because according this document both should transmit, about 24dB (if i understand the table on page 6 correctly)

Have you tried to connect booster+external antenna instead of left stock antenna? May be your rc-meter didn't show signal from left antenna because rx level on right antenna was better and it was auto-selected for tx (diversity)?

I think it's not enough to boost only tx signal from RC. It should be also for tx from drone. Or booster should be 2-way. Each moment of time RC works as transmitter or as receiver. The same for drone

For experiments it's possible to disassemble original antenna (remove plastic cap) and unsolder rf cable. In the theory, good antenna is better then amplifier, because it will work in the both direction, tx and rx. If original antenna's gain = 3 db, and patch = 8db, we should get 5db, it means...

What if install patch antenna instead of original? I saw 5.8ghz, 4x4sm size, with 8 db gain. I suppose it could increase range, as it's directional. Not?
