    Anti Drone law struck down

That could be interpreted two ways... You think drones SHOULD be banned, or you disagree that they should be regulated?

Drone shot out of sky in Burke County

I'm assuming it was hit with birdshot. That probably wouldn't do any real damage beyond 50-60 yards. I'm curious about the exact circumstances and the surrounding area of where he was flying. People have disappeared for less than that. 😁

We, as a group, can do better than this . . .

Honestly, I'm the type of dad who cringes at parents who make their kids wear pads and a helmet for a regular bicycle ride in the park. Now, for trail riding? Definately wise to wear a helmet! I've flown quads with and around my kids for years. At 6 my son was flying his own Nano QX, which was...

    Snow flying. Bad idea?

I've not had any problem in moderate snow, provided it's not a wet snow. Yeah, I know it sounded dumb but it works for me. Just maintain VLOS.

I Just lost my Mavic 3

For what it's worth, I too think it looked kinda like a motor or ESC failure. It seems the fact that it certainly DID somewhat stabilize very briefly before spiraling would rule out prop failure, yet it's obvious the flight controller WAS trying to compensate for something. So sad. Best wishes...

    Phone vs Tablet

I'm an Android guy and would never go back to an iPhone (which I'm forced to use at work). That being said, I bought an iPad Mini 5 with cellular solely for my Mavic 2 Pro and it works great!

    FAA FINES PHILADELPHIA DRONE PILOT

This is just unreal on both sides! I'm not sure which is crazier, the fact that he "ignored" that many letters from the FAA, or that the FAA waited as long as they did to go after him. Regardless, in the end this leaves another mark against all of us who fly a UAV, be it legally and safely or not.

    Inspire X5s vs M2P

Post 6? Sheesh! How on earth did I miss that!? ? Yes, that's exactly what I needed to know, but somehow overlooked it. Thanks a bunch for all the replies. I ended up deciding against the purchase and invested a portion of that money into overhauling my wife's editing PC. (It was still...

    Inspire X5s vs M2P

How does the image quality of photos taken by the Inspire 2 in RAW compare to those taken by the M2P?

How to tell my wife when you purchase something

We TALK about purchases. I make the majority of the income in our household. My wife manages the money and my credit score is about as high as a score can possibly go. I say that only because it used to be pretty bad. If not for her, I'd probably be in debt up to my ears, surrounded by lots of...

    Inspire X5s vs M2P

Great input guys, thank you! To clarify, I wouldn't be ditching my Mavic 2 for the Inspire 2, I'd have both. It's a huge investment that would have to be able to bring money in. I justified the M2P by telling myself it could be a hobby flier if nothing else. The Inspire would indeed be a whole...

    Inspire X5s vs M2P

I appreciate the feedback. Settings are indeed critical to getting a good photo. I've never even tried auto mode for the camera on my Mavic. ? The seller does topography and surveying so I'm not sure if they have any RAW files to offer. (I actually started talking to him as he was working...

    Inspire X5s vs M2P

Guys, I've had a Mavic 2 Pro for about a year now and I really enjoy flying it. (It's a WHOLE lot easier than my years prior with non-gps quads.) I plan to get my 107 to help with my wife's photography business, but I've really not been blown away by the image quality I'm seeing from it. There...

    How to descend most rapidly?

Errrrr, sort of but not really. ?

    How to descend most rapidly?

If anyone really does try something without knowing what it does, maybe they should think twice about owning a drone ? I work industrial maintenance. We do it all the time when something is down and we run out of logical things to try. Usually works too ...usually. "Hmm, why is this IPS-L...
