Well I can't believe no one has had this issue... even DJI support can't figure this one out! Still open to help. Thank God I have another drone that I can unlock... this one... I just have to fly in non locked areas.
I have a Phantom 4 pro 2.0+. In the past I've had no issues getting a zone or custom unlock... importing it into the controller... seeing it under unlock licenses... BUT when I hit the blue icon to import to aircraft... I get a screen that comes up showing me the license... BUT that's it...
Got filters for my Mavic 2 Pro... it messed up my horizon on videos and pictures... even if I went in and changed it manually... just don't use them now. :(
Everyone who flies a drone is an ambassador for the drone industry. Our interaction with the public reflects on all of us. I'd recommend everyone who flies to get a part 107 cert to get familiar with all the things they DON'T know. It just makes you more aware as a pilot. I wear a green vest...
Never is an overnight thing. Gradual. Depends on your age! lol... if you're young... it's a toughy... as you get older... married... not a big thing. With covid... I just ended up buzzing my head with a #1 on my clipper.
The real root... insurance. Not recreational... BOOM insurance goes through the roof. I'm part 107... got the company to buy the drone AND the insurance!
Given that... we are at the bottom of the chain. Looks like the helicopter was out over open water where there may be no minimum. Also... part 107 says that we have to maintain visual line of sight. Heck... 400 feet up or 400 feet away... I can't see mine...
