4k Snow-capped Sundial Peak in Wasatch Mountains, Utah

I did Sundial a few years back approaching from the east (left side as you approach it), but the day I shot this video I tried it from the west (right side). I remembered from the east being pretty scary, so I wanted to try the other side this time. 90% of it was really easy, but the last little...

4k Snow-capped Sundial Peak in Wasatch Mountains, Utah

Thanks! I like the contrast of our two videos showing the same area and similar shots, but at two different times of year. That is such a great area...partly why I targeted it for a video soon after I got my Mavic. I did two videos, most of the footage is from near Lake Blanche, just across the...

    US Virgin Islands

I did fly there, yes. I was a little bit nervous about going through security on the flight there, and also through customs and security again on the way back. I had the Mavic with me in my "personal item" (not carry-on) the whole time. That's the great thing about the Mavic and how compact it...

Mavic drifting left or right while flying foward

Interesting. So it sounds like I should try recalibrating everything...but if it still does it, it's just a limitation of the technology. Kind of a bummer if that's the case, but I'll try and see what happens. Thanks!

Mavic drifting left or right while flying foward

There have been a few times where I want to fly straight at something a ways off, e.g., a waterfall. I have crosshairs visible in the center of the screen, so I'll position the crosshairs exactly over the subject, and then simply do a right stick up to fly straight forward. The problem is...

    Checking in from Orem, Utah

Hey. The drone is doing well...I've had it for a couple months now...and minus a few close calls (mostly pilot error) it has flown perfectly. How has your experience been so far?

4k Snow-capped Sundial Peak in Wasatch Mountains, Utah

Thanks. No filter and no post processing. Here are the settings I used: 3840x2160, 30fps, 0 0 0, d-cinelike Pretty basic settings. I think I probably just stumbled into a good combo by accident. :)

    US Virgin Islands

Spent a few days in the US Virgin Islands. Got 3 good flights in, about 30 min. of raw footage. Condensed it down to about 3 min. and set it to some music.

    Checking in from Orem, Utah

I've had my Mavic for about a month now, I guess. I bought a $200 Hubsan (my first drone) about a year ago hoping to get some cool aerial videos, particularly from the tops of summits (~10-11k feet). To say the endeavor was a miserable failure would be an understatement. It took every bit of my...
