The one you linked take me to the Mavic Mini one for some reason. A quick search for it with Mini 2 shows it though.
I'm waiting for the small usb-c attachment by same company
The QC charger is also a voltage converter ?
You also need a QC charger when the AC/Hub acts as "voltage converter". This voltage converter is tiny, affordable, and with the right QC charger can achieve parallel charging. But I'll wait until they release one for the Mini 2
Thank you for the insights.
How about completing it by protecting the camera glass from the elements?
Also, while you confirmed the motors are water resistant, I know they are not sand/debris resistant as one motor got stuck once because of that
This means the hub is not the best option in term of speed nor portability
Do you think this YX charger would be compatible with the Mini 2 batteries and be able to fully charge them?
Quick Charging USB Charger for DJI Mavic Mini RC Drone
Its output though is 8.4Vx1.8A (15W), which is a bit...
The hub by design will always charge serially, whether it is 18W or more doesn't change this. This is why the others suggested aftermarket chargers that could charge in parallel.
Now whether the DJI hub will actually charge at 29W with the appropriate charger is yet to be confirmed.
I thought of this as well, because they mentioned a maximum of 29W for batteries, while the maximum input for the hub is 36W. I know the hub external output is rated at maximum 10W, so that leaves 26W (possibly more if the external output is not being used)
I get this, but judging from the drone output and that the hub has an extra external output, it is possible that a maximum of 18W will be used to charge a battery regardless
The Mini 2 itself has a maximum 18W charging capability, as written on the battery slot. Not sure why DJI advertise a maximum of 29W.
Now since Mini 2 supports PD, does this mean it is safe to charge it using a MacBook charger?
If so, then this will help while traveling.
How about charging the old Mini batteries using the new Mini 2 drone itself, would that be supported?
I tend to travel light, and only carry the drone, batteries, and controller, leaving the hub behind, and using the drone as a charger
I was actually planning to get it. But do you think this YX multi-charger for the Mini batteries is forward compatible with the Mini 2 batteries? Afterall, the old batteries are compatible with the new drone since both have the same interface.
Now that I have the Mini 2, I can confirm that the drone input for charging is 5V=2A/9V=2A/12V=1.5A. So this means it can only charge at a maximum of 18W, and the controller is even 10W.
I still don't understand why DJI suggested it can work with charger that are more than 18W...
I'm the OP, and can confirm it definitely has a more stable signal when compared to the original MM. I received it yesterday, and did a quick test today. Will have to do more testing. Thank you everyone
What is the output V/A of the dji charger that comes with the combo?
Would it be safe to use any QC charger?
Would it be better/faster to use a QC charger with higher output?
Edit: I know the controller input is rated 10W (5V/2A), not sure about the drone
