Mavic flipped and crash-landed 5 secs after take-off

Have seen a Phantom do exactly the same thing after losing a prop. I too suspect that your missing prop was not locked in and came off during the ascent resulting in the Mavic flipping and returning to Earth.

    Drone Pilot/Motorcycle Correlation?

    EPSON Moverio BT-300 Review

Is there any diopter adjustment in the BT-300? I wear prescription reading glasses and am worried that I won't be able to view the display clearly.

Mavic: Tropical Climates and Care Refresh.

I've had a few birds check out the Mavic in flight but none have had a good at it. Watch out for dogs being walked - I had a couple of heelers come running out of nowhere when I was hovering about 1.5 - 2m off the the ground and had I not seen them in time and climbed rapidly they would have...

Mavic: Tropical Climates and Care Refresh.

Funny you mentioned the Croc cover I was actually thinking of seeing if I could capture a couple on the northern beaches next time I go out to the beaches.

Very thankful to the person that figured this out

Just watch the 'Sport' mode switch on the RHS of the controller. With the iPad mini fitted the hinged arm can push the switch into 'Sport' mode without you knowing and in doing so disable anti collision sensors etc.

Mavic: Tropical Climates and Care Refresh.

I live in the tropics (Cairns, North Queensland) and have had no issues with operating the Mavic in the heat and humidity. In my opinion the Fly More pack is good value - at the very least I'd recommend a couple of extra batteries. I've also paid for the Care Refresh just to have some insurance...
