There is a new firmware update, must have just come out Sept. It was a required update for me, seemed to be okay.

My solution was to go to a high quality short USB A to C cable running from the type C connector at the bottom of the CS to the USB port at the bottom of your remote. (CS 7.85UB)

I paid for and loaded Litchi from Amazon App Store with no issues. CrystalSky does run warm, but not anywhere near unsafe. CS is just so awesome to use! (7.85UB). Only issue is I was on a moving boat and could not get it to refresh to the device home point, had some very scary moments...

Well, I for one am extremely pleased with customer service. So many times we only complain and never congratulate. I got my Mavic stuck in a 75 foot tree, total operator error (cell transmitters are kryptonite to a drone). Had to call a tree service to dislodge it, where it came crashing...

Yep, tried a couple of android tablets but the difference on the iPad mini 4 is markedly better, performance and visibility.

Are the antennas at a 45 degree angle facing towards the drone? I have had my drone out over 1 mile with only losing 1 bar on signal meter

This looks like a SD card error. Try formatting the card in the DJI GO 4 app. If that does not work, it's best to try a new card. Make sure it's a class 10 U3 card.

Since we live near a NFZ of Beale AFB, will head to a friends ranch in Nicolaus for my first flight. 5 acres of soft pasture and alfalfa which I hope we will not need! Very excited as this will be first "smart" drone flight. Will try to post a short video and pics upon return.
