    Faulty IMU

I checked in the Sensor section of the GO4 App and found a faulty IMU (ACC2 Data Error), recalibrating the IMU and reinstalling firmware didn’t resolve the issue.. Apparently the only fix is return for repair or replacement, Amazon have none in stock in the U.K. so issued a refund.

    Faulty IMU

Having heard of cases of Airs behaving erratically and sometimes being lost I’ve wondered how many people check both IMUs and Gyros before flying? Ignoring the usual pilot error incidents, I reckon some are flying with faulty hardware and not realising and if the redundancy fails they’re in...

    Just curious

Enjoy the new drone. Boring as it may sound I highly recommend reading the online user manual, there’s a ton of very handy info in there.

Was it High Wind That Caused This Drone Drowning?

Interesting, my Air is about 3 months old and has now developed a faulty IMU. Luckily I noticed the error before flying and I’m now sending it back to Amazon. It’s never had the slightest of bumps, never mind a crash and it’s down to 1 IMU with no redundancy now. Anyway, hopefully you’ll get a...

Yeah, version 4.3.0 here too, no problems with it.

    FCC mode in CE area

I’ve done the FCC hack and My Air stayed in FCC mode after the DJI Go4 iOS app updated.

Losing connection with drone very easily..

Yeah, do the hack, it makes a big difference. As far as warranty is concerned I wouldn’t think it’s an issue as you’re not modifying the drone or software, just spoofing a GPS location.

    FCC mode in CE area

Don’t worry, everything works as normal, including RTH, the only change is the WiFi frequency & power levels. I’m in the U.K. and I’ve done the hack, it’s a big improvement on range and signal quality so even if you don’t need the extra range it’s still worth doing it for the improved signal...

Struggling straight out of the box!

Totally understand, I’ve done the same myself in the past. The only problem is if you get it wrong you’ll lose or damage the drone which can’t be recovered with some mouse clicks. Enjoy the new Air, it’s a brilliant bit of kit that can do so much. You’ll love it once you get comfortable with it.

Struggling straight out of the box!

I suggest downloading and reading the manual before trying anything else, it’s not a toy and has a multitude of functions.

BTW, that's a low-resolution version, the originals have greater detail.

    First Flight with Mavic Air

I bought one to get photos from a different perspective, these things are great. I took this shot of Duntottar Castle after just a few days of practice..
