Even after doing that, the visual quality of the photo remains to be unusable. However, I have found that shooting in Jpeg yields much higher quality photos, so that is what I've been doing :D

Okay, well I found out from trial and error that the jpeg images have a much higher res than the RAW images... Not sure why this is, but if anyone is running into this problem, just switch to jpeg!

Ah! You're right about being able to see the proper resolution, but the quality of the photo is the same, if not worse after I rendered it out of Lightroom

The image transmission settings is set to "Normal Mode"

I know. When I do that, the only options I can change are format, image size (16:9 or 4:3) white balance, style, and color.

Okay, so I know what menu you are talking about to change the res, but the option is not there... It is in video mode but not in photo mode.
