Exactamundo!
Add up all the people killed by guns and cars in the last 10 years and then compare that to how many deaths caused by drones --- then we'll all see what items need to get banned --- and they sure aint drones.
Really doesn't suprise me --- hot air balloons are like big blue whales in the sky and drones are like remora fish that are magnetically attracted to them and want to get REAL close.
Even this crazy paramotor kid can't keep away from the balloons:
There are some blatant falsehoods in your post.
Military pilots do NOT have carte blanche to shoot down any civilian aricraft they deem is a threat. That kind of extreme measure can only come directly from the President --- and that's exactly what happened on 9/11.
According the Wikipedia...
That's a reasonable requirement --- if I was some police chief in a small town I wouldn't want 10 guys showing up who just bought their Mavics last week to be responsible for doing emergency SAR flying. Plus, it would help us understand how the police and SAR agencies operate in a crisis and...
Has there been any documented effort to start up these kinds of "citizen SAR" squads composed of private drone owners?
I would gladly register for this type of emergency action, and it would show the power of consumer drones as something more than just an aerial photography rig. A single Mavic...
That's pretty much how U.S. government works --- don't pay attention to science or statistical odds --- just do something that sounds like it will get votes and then go scurry off to collect your bribes and kickbacks from all the corporate weasels you helped that day
I guess it sounds reasonable to shoot down a drone over a military base or nuclear plant --- but what kind of weapons are they going to use? I think it's totally wreckless and dangerous if half a dozen Homeland Security agents whip out AR-15's and blast a few hundred rounds of bullets into the...
You're obviously pro-cop, but you're simply wrong.
Preserving the safety of cops should not the 1st priority of cops --- it should be preserving the public safety. State trooper pilot was wantonly disregarding the safety of hundreds of people in order to assist the safety of a few troopers on...
I just watched it. Very impressive. That guy never had to get his M2P higher than 51 ft. AGL so that really maximized the distance. I guess going up to 700 feet knocked off 2+ miles off my attempted "record" flight. It sucks to get high LOL !!
That dude also flew the last 3600 ft. on 0%...
Not sure exactly what you mean by "watch the lines go by" but I also have the M2Z and using it with an iPad Mini 3 and I notice the normal type of blocky pixelation you get when starting to lose live video signal. It looked the same when I flew my P3 Pro with Lightbridge.
But I'm also noticing...
Probably the ugliest bird in North America --- has a head that looks too small for it's body and the whole thing dipped in battery acid --- I used to call them "zombie turkeys" when I was kid because they looked like creepy undead birds from Hades
