Yes... I didn't have any issues flying into Kathmandu on the airline. Just very cautious about flying where there are loads of people. The permit is available from the CAA in Babarmahal area. Be prepared to wait and waste precious time of your holiday. I flew mine in extreme remote areas...
Both, I tried to read it from the Mavic, having failed , I tried it via a card reader. Exactly the same result, sadly lost footage from holiday in Portugal. The files on the card show .mov type and file size 1.3Gb and the photos show .dng type with about 19Mbs.. but just can't read them
I did absolutely everything Dji asked me to do and nothing worked, so sadly i had to re-format the card. Another card that i have been using since is fine and has not come up with any errors.
After the recent update, i can't seem to read the files from the SD card. The files are on the card, I recorded video and Raw photos. I can see them on the card with the correct file extensions but am unable to open them in Quiktime player and the Dng/jpg files in Lightroom. There are no...
You are right in what you say, but my previous gimbal (before this one was repaired) had a slot which went into the lock. This gimbal does not slide into the lock provided. It is 100% different in design.
Really helpful suggestions here... I am going to laminate a sheet of paper with a tick list next to it! Sometimes, not carrying out the basic checks before a flight can prove to be disastrous as i have read on so many posts!
Thank you! Apparently, whilst in flight the batteries should be half discharmed? So I will have to fly from 10 minutes on each battery before my flight!
Hi... the original gimbal had a little groove behind it which slotted into the gimbal lock. The newer design on gimbal does not have that groove so the lock is useless.
Dji have changed the gimbal design so the lock supplied with the drone does not fit it properly and it wobbles whilst being transported. Might have to get one from Ebay or Amazon!
I am going on holiday to Nepal soon and am trying to compile a check list before each flight.
1. Calibrate compass
2. Remove gimbal lock
3. Make sure RTH is set
4. Get a permit to fly from Nepalese aviation authority.
What else must I do to ensure I return with good memories?
