You can easily test this by setting the mp2 to 5.8ghz through go4 and then the goggles to 5.8ghz and try with and without antenna. I found the distance doubled with the antenna. If you don't want to use the antenna the best way to go is to set the mp2 to 2.4ghz and goggles same no antenna...
You are right the info is pretty light and you need to remember if you do change from the default which is dual mode that you change the settings in both DJI GO4 & Goggles . Fly Safe
The goggles re work in three modes 2.4 ghz 5.8 and dual mode which is the default mode. I have found when using the m2 in 5.8with the goggles set to 5.8 with the antenna the distance nearly doubles. The defeult mode being dual mode meaning a combination of 2.4 and 5.8 I always use the antenna...
I fly both aircraft and do alot of low altitude flying. The Pro1 seems to pick up the surface as soon as its under 10 mtr at up to 30 kph and never need calibrating. The Zoom on the other hand is totaly different. You virtually need to stop and lower it to 3,4 mtr befor it gets its altitude. The...
Have never seen this happen I Use RE with mp1 and m2z and never experienced that . I would look at the rest of the telemetry height distance and make sure it's not just the battery. Flying without the correct telemetry is like flying blind be careful hope you get it sorted out.

The mp1 uses 2.4, the mp2 and mz2 use 2.4 and 5.8 these frequencies can be used individually or together Dual band. The white goggles only support 2.4 where as the re goggles support 2.4 or 5.8 and dual band with the mavic 2. It you are flying the mp1 it only has the 2.4 as you thought good luck...
