That is absolutely my plan... not even register the Mini and keep the MPP registerd and RID's if needed with a 3rd party device if the law so demands. Not worried about the part 107 as I only fly for hobby and recreation no $$ coming in from flights... just going out as I buy more drone...

Since I'm not a very "advanced" user the fly app will most likely be just fine for me.

Have not bought the 3 yet. And honestly I don’t know its an upgrade or not. The smaller size would fit better in saddle bags so that’s a plus for me. From what I read the app is not the same on the mini as on the MPP, but again i dont know what the differences are and if I would miss any...

Yup. That’s the one I found. At $80+ dollars it’s a bit steep. No doubt it’s a quality product and most likely worth every ¢ but. At more than 80 bucks it’s a bit spendy. Been looking for a knock-off or clone of it (lesser quality but more affordable)
