I formatted it shortly before trying again, but I had shot some photos before the video. I'll try that again along with the rest of these ideas, thanks :)

The only things that changed were firmware versions, always shot in 4k. I think I've tried in 2.7k as well without any improvement, but I'll have to do some tests with lower resolutions and replacement cards.

I've tried to search for this issue but haven't found any solutions. When I record video, chunks of it are missing. Here's a quickshot dronie from my MP, video should be 10 seconds long but half of it is missing: I'm using the SD card that came with the MP and that has previously worked...

Good info, thanks. And thanks to everyone else for replies, too. If I'm reading the manual right (page 27), the self discharge starts after the "days to discharge" timer is up, so if you have it set to 2 days, the battery will sit at 100% for 48 hours and then start to discharge, taking about...

Do people charge when they're done, storing the batteries full, or just before they next fly, storing the batteries at some lower level of charge? I've been storing them full so I'm ready to run out and fly but wonder if that's what's best for the batteries?

You are. Setting controller as home point drops a pin in the map, and the Mavic will treat that as the home point. It will not update again unless you tell it to. If you then move on, you're best updating it again in the same way before hitting RTH.

I'm not sure what the NOTAM list is, but you can get a free listing of NOTAMs in all sorts of places and there's no need to get in touch with an airfield to do so. A NOTAM may have announced today's (presumably miltary) Merlin as part of an exercise. I'd be happy to check for you if you can...
