You can get around the issue using a PC. But what about instant mobile share? I bought it mostly for that purpose. Quick shares on social media. The most embarrassing thing is that not even DJIs own mobile video editor can handle it correctly. It's a shame!

If DJI didn't notice this on its own, it would be extremely embarrassing. There are certainly many more discussions to follow on this subject. This issue is far too conspicuous to go unnoticed.

I also checked my footage using VLC Player. It displays it correctly, without the 6 lines at the bottom, BUT: I discovered the 6 lines beeing present in the "Buffer dimensions" section (see attached screenshot, and also in your own screenshot). This proves that a capable player/editing...

Could be that VLC Player handles the footage correctly. I will check that on my own footage now.

The problem doesn't occure on my 1080p footage at all. It's only present with 2,7k. I also tried a mobile fix/editing solution with KineMaster Pro (which is a pretty good editing app on Android) and hoped the app would handle the 6 garbage lines correctly. With no luck. I will try DJIs built...

Well, that's 1080p footage where the problem doesn't occur anyway.

Thanks for responding. Another indication that programs are able to recognize the correct resolution/ratio. Do you even have these lines in the original footage? Or is your footage good in general? How did you vote in the poll?

Oh man.. I didn't get that your distortion is elliptical. That's strange indeed and it almost ruins my theory. If those 6 lines would be cut out of your video, your video would be perfectly fine too. It seems like some off sensor area which probably is not supposed to show up in the final image...

Yes! It seems like those 6 lines are not properly defined and end up beeing extra rubbish. This area is probably not supposed to show any image information at all. That is why most players stretch and fill the last part of the video over it. I attached another screenshot. Left side is Windows...

Well.. That seems to be it. Could it be that the MM ouputs 6 pixels too much veritcally? I attached a screenshot showing the vertical resolution; LEFT: Raw file RIGHT: Adobe Premiere rendered file

I can't tell whether they are cut off or if they are filled with additional image. All I can tell is that the line is gone the moment I import those files to Adobe Premiere. I will post a comparison Screenshot tomorrow. So that we can see if anything is cropped off.

I just noticed another strange thing: When importing the files into Adobe Premiere the distorted line on the bottom is completely gone. It's not visible in the preview while editing. The resulting exported file also doesn't show the issue.

Sadly I discovered the same issue on mine. If this won't be fixed asap, I'll send it back for sure. Although I can't see it on 1080p footage. My guess is that its not cropping correctly into the sensor. It should crop a few steps up. The crop isnt aligned correctly. I'm pretty sure this is a...
