Does anyone do a compass recalibration before the first flight. I am getting ready for my first flight today and thought should I recalibrate the compass from my location.

Does anyone do a compass recalibration before the first flight?

I also have been having the same issues. I tried calibrating my compass on my I phone and still have the same issues. I have also noticed the direction indicator turns red with a message saying check check GPS and calibrate phone compass. I am not sure what is causing this ? anyone else...
