One of the most photogenic areas of Prescott is Watson Lake. You'll need to get a LAANC clearance since it's in the PRC class D, but all of the lake can be flown to 400' AGL with clearance. Goldwater Lake is good to go and not in PRC class D. Just watch out for eagles & ravens there. Check a...

Air 2S ARC V strobe video

I flew today in bright sun @5100' MSL elevation at home point. 400' AGL and out to 1500' distance. The strobes/AC were visible the entire time, especially the white strobes.

Air 2S ARC V strobe video

I have not tried that yet. This was the first flight with these. Will post another video when tested.

Air 2S ARC V strobe video

For anyone interested. Using Aerial-Pixel mounts for the legs, industrial strength Velcro for the top. One white ARC V on top, two white ARC V on the front legs, two green ARC V on the back and one Jusmo RGB attached with the same Velcro to the bottom. I also started using an iPad 5 mini that...

Air 2S - Asteroid, Obstacle Detected??

I flew today with the factory props and no other changes. Issue resolved. I didn't try the "Composition" setting with the Master Airscrew Stealth props, but will next time. Thanks!

Thanks for the replies. Problem resolved..

Air 2S - Asteroid, Obstacle Detected??

The camera was facing East during the initial sequence at around 3 PM, so the sun might have been an issue during the sphere sequence. I was aware that Obstacle Avoidance/Composition was an issue in MasterShots, but not in the other intelligent flight modes. I'll try that along with swapping...

Air 2S - Asteroid, Obstacle Detected??

Tried to do an Asteroid today, which I have done in the past without issue. It reached peak altitude and then started taking the photos for the sphere. It terminated suddenly with a warning that an obstacle had been detected. Tried it again, same issue. Out over a lake, so no obstacles anywhere...

    Air 2S Control Problems

I have had the drone for about a week and getting comfortable with it. Today I did 3 long flights with completely normal controller behavior and easily retrieved the drone into my hand at the end of two. I bring the drone down to about 5 feet and then slide my hand under it quickly, grasping it...

Got out for about 3 hours to a large park to test my understanding of the controller and run through some of the automated features: Asteroid & Dronie - great! Active track, Trace & Spotlight - behind me and in front of me - great! Active track, POI - great! Tried Normal, Cine, and Sport...

Thanks. Still learning the drone and how to edit video. Like a drunk person at the helm of a cruise ship in port!

I flew the 2S for the first time yesterday. I tried to stay within my property boundary to avoid pissing off neighbors. Just a few up/downs to get used to the controls, landings and avoid the trees. Going to an open park tomorrow to learn more with it. I hope you enjoy my amateurish video!

Jf - We're in Northern AZ at 5500', so we have four seasons with Winter snow up to 2-3 feet per major storm event. It usually melts quickly, unlike your area, so I can understand how you feel! I'll be breaking out the snow blower soon.

Thanks very much for the welcome! I decided to cancel the order for the Mini 2 and upgrade to the Air 2S since I realized I'll need Active Track for some of my future projects. It doesn't bother me to register the drone with the FAA since they already know where I live. Buy once, cry once!
