You need to carry your batteries in your carry on. You can check with the airlines for specific battery rules. I have travelled by air with the Mavic Mini in my backpack (carry on) and with the 3 batteries from the fly more combo and have had no issues.
Here are some guidelines: Guidelines for...
Great video and some amazing scenery! As noted above, some Ken Burns effect on the stills might blend them in a bit more with the other video shots. The stills of the tip of the canoe and the panoramic views are very good.
On the video, some of the shots that were slowed down as you pan across...
When you are in “create” in the DJI Fly app there is an option for Template and Pro. The template makes a quick video and adds the logo at the end. The Pro is all manual and fully customizable and there is no logo at the end.
35 multiple choice questions, open book and you have 90 minutes to write. Now that doesn’t answer the question of how long does it take to get your license as everyone’s study or prep time may differ. I basically did it over a weekend. Spent Saturday gathering some of the key documents and...
I had a recent encounter while flying my Mavic Mini. I saw someone coming from the corner of my eye and he immediately asked if I had a license to be flying (which I do even though not needed for the Mini). He fired off a bunch of questions in a slightly aggressive tone (why are you flying here...
I just got back from a flight as well and had no speed issues this time. Was flying 29.5km/hr (18mph) in P-Mode and 46km/hr (28mph) in Sport Mode.
I signed out and signed back into the app, but did not roll back to v400 of the firmware or refresh the v500 update.
I never had the warnings or alerts (on airspace or motor speed) but only the reduced speed. I have signed out of the Fly app and sighed back in and will try a flight today to test speed.
I am east of Toronto. Oshawa Executive airport would be the closest although that is 10km away so I have never had any issues with that airport. I did update the FlySafe along with the Firmware update, so maybe it is some restriction from that as noted above although I didn’t receive any warning...
Limiting the speed to 6mph would certainly not help with fly-away’s.
I will try another flight tomorrow with a fresh new battery (not that it’s a battery problem) and see if same speed issue.
I updated to v01.00.0500 2 days ago and took it out tonight for a flight. I was testing it out after reading about a number of people reporting motor speed issues with the rear left motor and prop. Anyway, I had no issue with that, but I did notice that it was flying very slow at full throttle...
I received a FlySafe Update note on my DJI Fly app (for my Mavic Mini) and when I click it gives me a Chinese prompt. Does anyone know what this is / what it says?
You would need an SFOC to “legally” do it in Canada

Thanks for posting the video.
The other new feature with the update allows you to change what the MM does when there is a loss of signal. Previously it would initiate return to home. Now you have the option to return to home, hover or descend.
