yep....mine does it every time i fly. last weekend i went out with the 3 batteries.....had to recalibrate the compass after every battery change. doesn't take long but is annoying.

Good point about the RC still controlling even tho the app crashed....i was over 1000m out so wasn't sure if it as taking my inputs. I will certainly confirm your scenario about to see what happens...thank you for tip!

Looking at my DJI Flight log it appears that from 7min 17s the link was DOWN for 44secs.......during that time, the bird seems to have travelled 500ft! not sure how or why given at that time the App & RC were essentially off. I would have thought RTH would be triggered or it was just sit there...

I am in absolutely the same situation. I like the MP because of the OcuSync vs the WiFi of the Air. But I love the additional features (camera shots, sensors etc) of the Air over the MP and the size is awesome! I don't need massive range, but all my flights will be in the metro/built up areas...
