My experience in the hobby has been limited to my MA2. You quickly learn not to fly over 400 ft high, over crowds or beyond VLOS. I recently started looking at some AR wing gliders (made of EPP) and noticed many are being flown long range (beyond VLOS) and in some cases autonomously In YouTube...
You have to think that private use of that technology would open up someone to litigation. I'm guessing that technology is also not compliant with FCC regulations and might cross FAA boundaries. I'm honestly shocked a drone was not been used in a major terrorist attack on US soil or waters...
I like the concept, editing and flight were nice. However, the pace of the video seems a little slow even for a church. In the first 58 seconds there are basically two "shots" in the video and I found myself watching the traffic rather than the church. I know matching the day to night shots...
If your end goal is to get some of your drone footage on the news then a better option might be to post your videos on social media. Eventually, a media outlet will reach out to you if the content meets their programming needs. Even if media outlets don't use the footage, you can still achieve...
If it was me, I would not approach the police as some have suggested. I would just let it go. I do understand that rumors can spread quickly in small towns. If you want to combat the idea of being know as the "Man with the Drone", I suggest you lean into it. By that I mean, post some high...
Is it possible the drone your neighbor saw was flown by someone else? What made him connect the dots back to you? At the end of the day, your flight logs mean very little because you could’ve deleted the logs of flights over his property.
I would tell him or law enforcement simply - I’m not...
I agree with the earlier comments - color grading and music would be a big plus. I also think you are a little over exposed and losing some detail.
I literally took 3 seconds and threw a free LUT on a small clip of your video to color grade it in Davinci Resolve.
Ignore the lower quality...
Pacing in videos is always difficult. I would speed-up the first 23 seconds...play the clip at 2x or even 3x as you climb the hill. I think 8-10 seconds climbing the hill is plenty. At the end, I would speed ramp the clip as you go down the jump. Nice flying!
There are several options to get the drone down. PVC pipe is cheap (long) and could be used to shake the drone loose or tie string around a baseball and throw it up into the tree. The fact you have the refresh insurance lessens your concern about the drone getting damaged while falling out of...
