Big tip… get a Mini 3. Register in France, & then you’re free to fly anywhere in Europe. BUT, don’t break any rules or laws. You’ll know them all as they are in the online test are can be different from USA or Australia.

I registered my drone in France. I did the test online whilst I was home in Australia. Took the test relatively easy, but, has some tricky questions, so read/watch all the learning material carefully.

The issue with the poor range is totally due to the M3P drone itself. The RC remote has been used with other drones & there has been no loss of range on those drones.

I was flying at Cannes port & the police told me to bring my Mini 3 down ASAP. They then escorted me to a nearby police van & interrogated me. They told me I was flying in a no fly zone. I told them that according to the DJI app I was outside the red zone, hence, I was able to fly with caution...

Andrew, will it be too risky carrying my drone on me (not in my checked luggage) when transiting through Dubai airport on Emirates flights. My insurance company has told me, if I put the drone in my checked luggage it will not be covered if it’s damaged in transit.

Unfortunately, for me… photos or videos NEVER show up in the drone album, hence, there is nothing to transfer. I’ve tried everything to get this to work. In the end I just pull the card & transfer normally, seems just as fast & I don’t need to unfold the drone & power it up.

I’ve found when in flight with a crooked gimbal I press C1 for gimbal straight down & then press again to re-centre the gimbal & it is then nicely re-aligned with the horizon.

When I connect my iPad to the Mini 3 drone by WiFi to do a quick file transfer, there are no videos or photos in the drone album to transfer. However, when I remove the SD card they are all there. How do I get the photos & videos to show up on the iPad DJI Fly App for quick transfer?

Ok. I’ll spell it out. If you try to charge the RC from a USB C port the lights will flash very quickly on the RC & you can only charge it to 75%. If you charge it with the USB A cable that comes with the drone the lights flash at a slower speed & you can charge it to 100%. The USB A cable...

For some reason my RC will only charge (in Australia) with a USB A port & not a USB C port. The wattage is irrelevant using USB A.

I found the only way to fully charge the RC was to connect it to a USB A port not a USB C port.

I ordered mine on the 10th May & was told I’ll get the Drone & RC on the 17th May & the FMC on the 30th May. I got the Drone & RC as scheduled but there has been no sign of the FMC. DJI just emailed & told me due to quality control issues my FMC will now be delivered in late June 2022.

The 2017 iPad Pro will work great with 2.7K video using Lumafusion. Once you get good at editing you’ll want to upgrade to an iPad with USB C connection which will allow editing directly from an SSD, hence, you won‘t choke up your iPad internal storage.
