You're not alone in that, but I certainly don't share the sentiment. I very much doubt if using Litchi is going to be a long-term solution to keep from adhering to the remote ID requirements. Litchi is, after all, created with the DJI SDK (at least, is/was with the M2 models, if not anymore...

Does using Litchi somehow mean that you don't need the aircraft firmware update to support Remote ID?

Apologies if this is a repeat (but I don't recall it being asked), if you had them both reset recently, I wonder if they could both have reverted to beginner mode, where there's a short radius before RTH. Sometimes firmware upgrades clobber DJI GO4 settings. Chris

I wasn't correcting you (I use GO4 as well) -- I was questioning what app the OP is using. He states "Go Fly 4", but there isn't app quite named that, and I don't think any app with "FLY" in the name is for M2P models. Chris
