    Updates?

And you can search these forums for "remote i.d." to see the various threads on it, several of which have been going on these past few weeks.

RID and FAA Declaration of Compliance

They're not holding you accountable, they're just stating that you're not in compliance until DJI does their part. https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/accountable And I wouldn't complain about the FAA taking owner-operators to task for DJI's tardiness until you actually see someone...

Proof that the 0797 Mavic 2 Pro Update works with 3rd Party waypoint apps

There's a difference between a legacy aircraft still working with the SDK and new models that are not supported by it. Chris

Error Code 180 after updating aircraft for Remote ID

You're not alone in that, but I certainly don't share the sentiment. I very much doubt if using Litchi is going to be a long-term solution to keep from adhering to the remote ID requirements. Litchi is, after all, created with the DJI SDK (at least, is/was with the M2 models, if not anymore...

Error Code 180 after updating aircraft for Remote ID

Does using Litchi somehow mean that you don't need the aircraft firmware update to support Remote ID?

Lost signal of both my Mavic 2 pros

Apologies if this is a repeat (but I don't recall it being asked), if you had them both reset recently, I wonder if they could both have reverted to beginner mode, where there's a short radius before RTH. Sometimes firmware upgrades clobber DJI GO4 settings. Chris

Lost signal of both my Mavic 2 pros

I wasn't correcting you (I use GO4 as well) -- I was questioning what app the OP is using. He states "Go Fly 4", but there isn't app quite named that, and I don't think any app with "FLY" in the name is for M2P models. Chris

Lost signal of both my Mavic 2 pros

He stated above that he's using the "Go Fly 4" app. I wonder if he's using the correct app, because my GO 4 app doesn't have the word "Fly" in it. There's DJI GO DJI GO 4 DJI FLY DJI PILOT ... and more (see: Download DJI Apps - DJI) It would be good to have the OP clarify the name of the app...

    Batteries from AliExpress?

Yeah, I received mine too, but I ordered with the knowledge of the sketchy reputations of some of the vendors on that portal. The price meant it was a relatively low risk. I wonder if one can find the batteries on eBay, even if the come from the same source for a few more bucks, could be less...

The fine art of reading ahead before replying remains intact in some regions. Others, not so much.

    Batteries Mavic PRO 2

I was under the impression that turning them off used and then cooled down was enough to unbalance the cells. Or that the app could not manage the unbalanced the cells after shut off/turn back on, as well as it was doing while still flying before the shut down. But then, all the science, I...

    Batteries Mavic PRO 2

I missed that part. Yeah, once you've landed and packed the battery away, you should never use it again until you've fully recharged it I wouldn't even fly it 'later that day'. At best, I might touch down and then take off again using the same battery if I had not turned it all off and let...

    Batteries Mavic PRO 2

50% is a decent storage rate. If you charge it full, it will start self-discharging in a few days and will read 50% soon enough. Maybe check the stored-at-50% a little sooner than stored-at-100%, but the difference in time probably isn't huge. The one thing you absolutely do not want to do is...

    Getting Back In

I just flew as coupl'a weeks ago after a long time of not flying and all I needed to do was charge batteries and remember the basic flight checks. Put'er a few feet in the air and make sure she still danced. Went up high and far away until that felt comfortable again. No new rules, s'far as I...
