USA citizen flying in the Netherlands & Ireland - Requirements?

Height restriction applies in Dublin as approaches to Dublin airport vary, it was 30 metres last time I checked. There are some beautiful old buildings and the no fly zones are on the mysars site you got the licence from. What you have is enough to fly. Gardai ( irish police ) are tolerant...

Why did you buy your first drone?

Because I am a 60 Yr old child. Big boys toys, no regrets.

DJI replaced flyaway, but now mine may have been found?

Contact dji, if they accepted your original claim was valid then they may take the view that its not worth returning the drone as its likely to happen again.

Mavic Mini won't launch from grass

I use a piece of astro turf.... artificial grass to put my air 2 on for take off. Soccer pitch standard is heavy enough to flatten any type of grass but light enough to carry.

Storing the batteries in the Hub or Drone? Maybe not

So, I have just been leaving them in the bag that came with the air 2 combo, is this a bad or dangerous habit?

    Hi from Wallsend UK

Welcome Grahame, lots of useful tips here on this site. I also had the psychological barrier about flying more than about 200 metres away, take your time until you feel confident enough, Mavic air 2 is my first serious drone but I am beginning to trust it with further distances. Just don't go...

How To Handle a "No Drones Allowed" Claim

I have mentioned before that the worst thing that bothers me are people who approach me to tell me of rules and regulations and who don't actually know them.

Anyone register to fly in the EU?

Register with IAA, Irish aviation authority. Rest of Europe don't seem to be too happy about how simple and cheap it is. 5 Euro to get the unique number, simple online test of 30 questions, maybe 36 questions.
