That just what I do, but with Andycine version of the feelworld monitor. Rather than plug into the SC I use a Vaxis atom wireless sender. Works great, you can choose if you have the hdmi out put as camera view or controller mirror view. Makes flying in full sun a pleaser .

When I eventually got mine to up date I noticed the 97-99% is when the update loads the data to the device and at 99% is when it reboots the SC. Don’t know if this will help you.....
