I would say both as they seem to work together. When I click on "Connect Aircraft" on the DJI Fly app I get the message "RC not connected to Aircraft". Note that before clicking on "Connect Aircraft" I make sure that the RC and the aircraft are powered on. It seems that I'm not the only one...
