    Mavic Went CRAZY!... CRASHED

If the service bay has a roof, probably steel, then it may simply be that the drone lost gps reception. I'm always cautious flying beneath/through man-made structures.

    Please help mavic pro platinum

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought that if you're in gps mode, you are not controlling a throttle setting, but commanding the drone to rise up at a given vertical velocity. If the altitude is not allowed to change, then the drone will increase the power to the motors in order to attempt to...

Wait for Mavic Pro II ?

It matters not what the new model will be called. I see the folding range of DJI drones as having three tiers - Spark, Air and Pro. The recently released Air has several features which are missing from the Pro, to the extent that some reviewers are recommending the Air over the Pro. I cannot...

Wait for Mavic Pro II ?

The way I see it is that there has to be a new Mavic Pro in the offing simply because the Mavic Air beats the MP in some areas.

    $4,500 U.S. Dollars Later

I can tell that you're impressed, but I have a drone which does all the things you list (well, video at 1920x1080), and it cost me $160. However, what my inexpensive drone lacks is control and video transmit range, stabilised video/gimballed camera and extended flight time (it's only ~15...

Who Says There's a Mavic Pro II Coming?

... but with limitations in some key areas. However, in many respects, it exceeds the capability of the MPP, which is why I believe that the Pro must be refreshed to live up to its 'Pro' moniker.

Who Says There's a Mavic Pro II Coming?

When I see reviews suggesting that the new mid-price model (Mavic Air) in a particular segment (portable, foldable, drones) has several features which make it more desirable than the current premium model (Mavic Pro Platinum), then I believe that it must be time to refresh the premium model...

mavic hit by trike in philippines

If the trike driver swerved (and that isn't clear from the footage), perhaps it was to avoid the dog in the road, clearly visible after the drone is picked up.

Errrr... Have you actually read the CAAP Rules and Regulations on drones? If I understand correctly, those rules don't just apply to drones (quadcopters), but to any "Remotely Piloted Aircraft", so it's not a matter of drones being singled out for these controls.

    Hi from Philippines

Hi, I'm a new member here, but not, yet, a Mavic pilot! I'm a Brit who emigrated/retired to Philippines some ten years ago, and have been living on the 'dangerous' island of Mindanao (currently under Martial Law) for all of that time. Back in UK, I was in to slope soaring (r/c) gliders. More...

mavic hit by trike in philippines

I guess that you're not in Philippines, and don't care about reputation here. Drones are already tarnished after two students were apprehended flying their drone over President Duterte's private residence in Davao. They were offered the option of going to court, or 'donating' their drone to the...

MPP vs MP - Is it worth it or better to get MP and buy new props?

I'm intending to wait for the MPII. There are so many enhancements on the Air which should be carried over to the MPII and, hopefully, those bits are already tested and proven on the Air. Is the rumor of an extended delay in release date genuine? Price drops on existing models suggest not.

mavic hit by trike in philippines

Foolish to be flying in such a manner. Regulations ban flying in residential areas. Also, you shouldn't be flying it within 30metres of anyone not directly involved. Please follow regulations, or at least fly sensibly, else you give us all a bad reputation.

dji store won't sell to philippines

I can't believe that there is any government restriction - the Mavic Pro is on open sale in several shops here, and there is a DJI distributor/reseller in Manila, recommended to me by DJI Hong Kong.
