Couple of experimental photos with ND Filter

Totally agree. I’ve been taking these shots for a while with my camera. With my drone, I’ve used a nd64 and have gotten the blurred effect from some great vantage points, but the fixed aperture makes the DOF difficult.

One can do the same with clouds. They do have to be moving, however.

    Pano Stitching and Post Software

What do you recommend as the best app to put my pano pics together? I’m computer literate, but post production novice. I love free, but would also appreciate the top post programs for video and photo. Thanks in advance peoples. Peter.

Couple of experimental photos with ND Filter

Are these beautiful shots taken with your drone or camera? Not being able to control the aperature on my drone makes getting the correct exposure and DOF difficult.

Crack appeared on my Mavic, I hope it's nothing major.

How do you properly balance the props?

    Afraid to fly

You can’t unless you see or hear other aircraft. The max height you can fly is 400 ft(120 m). Keep below this height by setting your max height parameter. Also remember your altitude starts from how high your home point is. For example, if you start from a 1,000 ft hill and your altitude...

Flying Sedona Winter 2020 - Chimney Rock in the Wind

Great video! Have you used Chimney Rock as a point of interest? It is would be cool to see a 360 looking down.

US Government Departments disagree on DJI risks

Exactly. The only two sources of info come from the data logger which to my knowledge shows the users “keystrokes”, inputs, and some drone parameters and the video footage which I’m sure their spy satellites in addition to Google can show with greater detail. Am I missing something?

2020 Updated San Francisco / Bay Area flying spots

I’ve launched from what Benicia calls the Arsenal. Take Military West road west into the Arsenal. At the first fork, bear right. Follow the road down to the bottom of the hill and you should wind up in a parking/open area. Check google maps. It’s also right by the terminal where many cars...

MPP Sees the Sun as Obstacle

Great tips. I'm a relative new flyer having just stepped up to a real drone. I'll practice the skills and the intelligent flight programs. Got the figure eight and a circle down and am getting a lot better at smooth flying and camera gimbal control.

MPP Sees the Sun as Obstacle

Thanks. Figured as much. I really wanted to move toward the sunset to get a better vantage and more variety of shots. Oh well. I’ll just turn off obstacle avoidance and give myself a lot of room.

2020 Updated San Francisco / Bay Area flying spots

I fly a lot further north - Vallejo, Carquinez Straits, Benicia, Martinez. I get great shots of ships, bridges, refineries, Mare Island, over cities and open nature shots. There is a great variety and according to Air Map and the built in NFZ you can fly in these areas.

MPP Sees the Sun as Obstacle

While filming a sunset, as I turned my MPP into the sun, I got an obstacle warning and the drone stopped. I was at 100 ft and no physical objects were nearby. I yawed the drone away from pointing into the sun and the warning cleared. Is this typical? If so, any remedies?
