Great shot! I make sure to buy the DJI care with all drones. That kind of flying you need a replacement option that won’t break the bank. Get back on that horse!
I think you are missing out on a much better drone with the Mavic 2. The camera upgrade is huge, even without RAW for panos. The details in the shadows, or highlights not blown out, and especially the ability to use in low light, where the old Mavic Pro is terrible. All the functions just work...
Your bird has got to be on the way. I used a priority shipping coupon and it shipped right out Fri for Tues delivery. Ordered 7:35am Thurs. They clearly are mailing thru priority shipping now.
That's a good question...and part of the problem. Many companies started making drones, not many survived. The closest equivalent drone is the Parrot ANAFI. Just came out and clearly has areas better than the Mavic (zoom lens, shoots straight up, image quality). Unfortunately, it's a wifi drone...
Like many of us, it seems we have been waiting forever for upgrades to the Phantom and Mavic series drones. Early on DJI upgraded these drones at an amazing rate. That seemed to have stopped now as production of small, lower end wifi type drones, or just lesser versions of the P4.
Clearly DJI...
Here's hoping the Mavic II has significant upgrades overall. DJI needs to up their game now with these drones. I seen enough middle of the road wifi drones that may be cool and small, but do not raise the bar when shooting or flying. I don't need a Mavic II in multiple colors or follows me in...
I live in Southern California and WiFi basically barely works. Maybe get 100-200 yards max distance. The WiFi connectivity is a deal breaker for purchasing the Air. Battery capacity is weak too. The Air is really a selfie drone with some new technology.
One word: WIFI. That is why the Mavic Air will never replace the Pro. The Air has no range! Ocusync is critical so we can enjoy a 7k range worthy of a Pro model. Even if you don’t fly that distance, Ocusync allows a much stronger signal in all situations. Coupled with a 21min battery life, the...
I’ve owned several Mavic Pros and got the Platinum several weeks ago. After taking the Platinum on very similar routes as the Pro, I’m convinced the Platinum has more range. Like 25 percent more.
Now I live in Southern California which is a busy place to fly. There’s usually some sort of...
Flying past the line of sight was so easy, I finally got a waiver. But to be honest, I only look at the drone when taking off and landing. Otherwise my eyes are on the screen. With experience you can fly this way safely. But I’m talking after hundreds of flights. The key is to also study your...
They should be pointed straight up! Only if the bird is directly overhead would you position them flat. Make sure you are always facing the drone, no matter how far out.
DJI needs to update their GO app to to work with OS11 and the iPhone X. I cannot use the app on the X...crashes all the time, connectivity is weak. I pulled out my old iPhone 6 to fly. Also bought the Litchi app which seems to work fine with the X.
