    Gimbal issue?

Well it looks like my Mavic Pro needs to go in for repairs. I've seen nothing but glowing comments about ThunderDrones so I will contact them and see if they can restore my Mavic to health.

    Gimbal issue?

I checked for updates and updated the no fly zone but firmware was the latest. I've done a gimbal calibration and compass calibration but no change. I could be mistaken but I thought the gimbal calibration was to correct for tilted horizon. I know there are many types of calibrations, some of...

    Gimbal issue?

The minor glitches look similar to skipped frames but the major ones are definitely not. At 35 seconds in the video the pitch jumps up a few degrees and stays there for a couple seconds, then reverts back to its original position. It seems that has to be the gimbal rather than the camera.

    Gimbal issue?

I hadn't flown my Mavic Pro for a month or so but when I got it out last week I discovered the video now has a nervous twitch every few seconds. The link below is a short video that shows the problem. There are minor glitches throughout the video but major ones at 9, 12, 31, 35, and 37 seconds...

    Virtual Litchi Mission

Thanks namirda, changing the font scale in Windows display settings fixed the problem. I normally have scale set to 150% on the 4k monitor; when I change it to 100% the settings dialogue box looks like it should. I had tried changing scaling before and it didn't make a difference. I wasn't...

    Virtual Litchi Mission

Thanks for the response. The resolution of the screen captures I sent in the previous message was 3840 x 2160. I just loaded VLM on another computer (Microsoft Surface Pro 2) with resolution set to 1920 x 1080 and the VLM "Settings" dialog box looks the same as the first computer (see...

    Virtual Litchi Mission

Hello namirda, I just discovered VLM and have 2 things to say: wow! and thanks! I'm seeing a minor problem with the font scaling in VLM on my PC. Everything looks fine except the Settings dialogue box. The dialogue box itself it rather small and cannot be resized. The text for the messages runs...

bazuchan / namirda, Thank you very much! Easy to install, even easier to use, and it works great!

    Firmware : v01.04.0100

I just heard back from Howard in DJI support. He said the issue was elevated to DJI Engineers and Developers. Their suggestion is to try another mobile device, one that's compatible with v4.1.18 DJI Go 4 app. Thanks a lot DJI! I'm thankful for the helpful members of this forum who provide...

    Firmware : v01.04.0100

A big thank you to jcp411! It was the DJI Go 4 app update, not the firmware update, that put my Mavic out of commission. I uninstalled DJI Go 4 v4.1.18 downloaded and installed v4.1.15, rebooted the phone for good measure and it worked first time. I didn't even have to wait a few hours! Earlier...

    Firmware : v01.04.0100

Thanks O3Vibe. Just finished 2 hour chat session with Aron from DJI support. No resolution yet, Aron consulted with their "higher department" and diagnosed the problem as the camera in the Mavic. That doesn't seem likely since video from the Mavic SD card still looks good, it's just live view...

    Firmware : v01.04.0100

Uninstalled DJI Go 4 app, re-installed - no change. Video downlink is still non-functional. Question for Android users that have had success with latest DJI Go 4 (v 4.1.18) and latest firmware (v 01.04.0100) - if you go to Remote Controller Settings / Button Customization, are you able to set...

    Firmware : v01.04.0100

Have had a Mavic for over a year and always upgraded to latest firmware with nary an issue. Until now. I updated the DJI Go 4 app and firmware today and now have the same issue as jcp and others. The video downlink is essentially nonfunctional even with the Mavic on the ground next to the...

Fly away mystery NOT solved after all

A number of cellular bands are uncomfortably close in frequency to the 2.4 GHz used by the DJI controller. LTE band 1 is widely used world wide and has a downlink frequency of 2.11 to 2.17 GHz. The band edge for bands 30 and 41 are 2.36 GHz and 2.496 GHz respectively. Both of these bands are in...

Fly away mystery NOT solved after all

The lost signal was likely caused by the proximity of your Mavic to the cell tower. Cellular base stations transmit on frequencies close to what is used for the Mavic control link. The effective radiated power (ERP) of a cellular base station is typically around 500 Watts while the Mavic...
