Thank you for that thoughtful response. I fly strictly for pleasure and live in Northern Nevada. I can't seem to a way to avoid an overheating ipad or iphone due to the immense amount of sunlight. Any thoughts on how to shade the controller without trees or buildings around?

Yeesh. $275 is steep. I'll be waiting patiently to see what happens closer to the end of the RID extension period. Will I still need to buy an RID device for my Mavic Pro 1 or will DJI manage to get software to the field for an onboard RID?

That's the best depiction of a Magpie that I think I've ever seen. In the late 50's I was hunting them as a child to get the egg or head bounty reward. As I recall the head was 25 cents and the eggs were going for 50 cents.
