I'm just finishing a book about the Royal National Lifeboat Institution, RNLI, in Great Britain, titled "Lifeboat Heroes: Outstanding RNLI Rescues from Three Centuries." It's available from Amazon as an ebook. A good read.
The stories of rescues in hurricane strength winds and 50+ foot waves by volunteer lifeboat crews are astonishing. Being a sailor, my stomach knotted up more than once while reading the descriptions of the conditions those boats endured.

Thanks for posting the photos. They add some interest to an already interesting book.
