    Suggestions for Landing Pad Weights

You make a good point about the metallic weights but I haven’t had any problems as of yet. I only use two and they are about a foot away from the drone and are on opposites sides from each other on the edges of the landing pad. But if I start having problems, I know the first place to look. Cheers,

    Suggestions for Landing Pad Weights

Hey Chris, I had the same problem so I found some metal 1 lb dumbbell weights that work perfectly. Since they are metal, their profile is pretty flat and there is more than enough room between the weight and the props, even the mavic mini’s props. There is no worry about anything being damaged...

"Please allow me to introduce myself....." I am such a newbie that my umbilical cord has not even been cut yet.

Hey Rucnok2, Welcome from Calgary 🇨🇦. What I suggest is that you buy a colourful skin to put on your drone. It will immensely help see your drone much further. It sure has helped me and it still keeps the drone under 250 grams. Cheers, Rex

When flying, how do you deal with your "Monkey Mind"

Hi C.L., I like your post. As far as mindfulness and meditation practice, it is a lifetime endeavour. Just knowing or catching yourself thinking of anything but flying when you are flying is being mindful. The more times you catch your mind wondering, the tamer your monkey mind will become and...

Welcome to the world of Mavic mini’s. Enjoy your new toy and take your time learning how to fly it and most of all, know the rules for your area and be respectful. Cheers from Calgary, Canada, where it is a balmy -18 degrees C. right now. This is the warmest it’s been for the last 2 weeks 🥶

Need a phone to fly with suggestions ?

I would suggest the 7 “ tripletek tablet. It has the brightest screen out there. No need for a sunshade with this guy. You can see the screen on even the brightest days. I don’t have one but I’ve seen a lot of reviews on it. I have an iPad mini 5 that I bought before hearing about the tripletek...

    Newbie from North Vancouver

Congratulations on your advanced pilot certification. I live in Calgary, and also abide by the rules which makes it hard to find a place to fly. I’m actually going to Vancouver for vacation in September but unfortunately I’ll be leaving my drones home. Cheers, Rex
