I have my Mavic 3 Classic and my RC Plus in one case along with 3 batteries and small accessories. I have my Mini 3 Pro in it's FMC case along with my RC Pro and 4 spare batteries along with various filters.
If you have used an RC Pro, it's the same functionality. Slightly better range, built in mic, bigger/brighter screen. RC Pro is 1000 nits, RC Plus is 1200 nits. It fits better in my hands as well.
I have one that I got last April. I use it with my Mavic 3 Classic and love it. There are some buttons that aren't functional, but every button you' would have on an RC Pro works on the RC Plus> You have to remember to shut off automatic updates for firmware for the controller.

Fairly easy to install apps on but so far I haven't gotten the Play Store installed.
Not tried it on my RC Plus, but was never able to get Playstore up and running on my RC Pro. Numerous videos on Youtube, but finally gave up. I can get pretty much anything I want off APKPure website.
Plus, any future firmware updates to the bird could possibly render the after market batteries useless. I know first hand about that with my Mavic 3 Classic
