    Obstacle avoidance is nice. However, as Tentoes said, I was flying sideways. If I hadn't panicked, and yawed left or right, I think I would have been able to fly out of the branches. Lesson learned. :)

    Yeah, I'm not so good at judging depth through a camera lens. I should have looked left and right with the camera before moving sideways. I was looking to get a cool shot of the rusty old railroad bridge and ran into the trees.

    I'm glad I was able to get the money together to get a new one. I received it on Monday. Did a test flight outside the house and it seems fine.

    Thank you so much! It definitely was a learning experience. I'm not a bad pilot. I just made a mistake. My replacement drone was supposed to be delivered yesterday, but it didn't make it to our local UPS depot until after 11pm last night, so I have to wait until Monday.

    Fixed ND filters v Variable

    Was about to ask about variable ND filters here, but found some existing threads. Your comment about it being only slightly easier to switch the filter with a variable one makes sense. It's pretty easy to pop off a filter and put on a different one. You've got to land to do either one.
