I am getting that sometimes as well. When it gets bad like you are saying I find what usually fixes it is to land, restart the Mavic and then it goes away. If that doesn't work I will shut the app down, replace my battery in the Mavic and that usually solves it. Worth a try, as I know how...
I am using .550 with no issues, and I am no longer getting the message to update the firmware to .600. I just thought that DJI realized there was an issue with .600 and stoped requesting the update.
